Blogger vs. Blogger, Thrifting Edition: Challenge Accepted!

Thrift Guide (part 1)

A thrifters guide to scoring thrift store like items and even vintage finds at discounted price. As everyone might know thrift stores have been marking items at higher prices. Very out of control type of situation but rightly so with all the new hype around “thrift shops”. As veteran Thrifters are less likely to publicize there favorite thrift stores in fear of the stores hiking up prices. I will surely admit I am to keep said location very “hush hush”. For now I am going to share what I have learned along the way as a thrifter. Two words, garage sales. Not all garage sales are alike, just like not every thrift store is alike. I really do prefer large garage sales like citywide or community wide garage sales. My typical favorite place to find vintage items are at rummage sales hosted by clubs such as civic clubs or as demonstrated below a rummage sale held by a garden club. A must attend event by all those who love thrifting.

A few large garage sales happening in and around Houston.
